I come from a family of experienced music teachers. My Dad was a Phoenix symphony musician and both my Mom and Dad taught public school for many years. I currently teach at Sunrise Elementary.
My own teaching experience began in 1997. Music is a wonderful medium to teach children mental and hands-on skills that apply to their other educational areas. Musical concepts directly translate to principals in math, science and language. Music can also expand a student's spatial I.Q.
It is my pleasure to support the many other academic programs through the art of music. The kids are fun to teach and some even go on to play in the band - my pride and joy.
Their accomplishments are life lessons for everyone, parents included.
